Taiwan trip day 6 ( towards Taipei)

Omg we woke up late again! Woke up at 1130 when we were supposed to check out at 12nn. As fast as we could, we dump every other thing into our luggage and wash up. It was Abt 1215 when the housekeeper knocked on e door to "chase" us away..... We only managed to leave at 1230 though..

We Decided to have our last brunch before we depart for Taipei.

The dumplings were good and cheap. There was a minimum order of 10 dumplings per person though

After that we went to the bus stop just outside macdonald's to take bus 160 back to Taichung HSR station.

This time round, Mr Cheong decided to buy the unreserved seats which is cheaper. The dumplings could not fill the stomach of Mr Cheong and by the time we reached Taichung HSR station, he was hungry again so he decided to go for 臺鐵便當

I was blurred for a while. I thought I had misplaced my HSR ticket after entering the gantry and went all over the station in assumption that I have dropped it somewhere.. Eventually I Found it inside the pocket of my top instead of my jacket. Zzzzzz.. Fortunately, is a false alarm hahaha...

Look at my empty table compared to his. BTW, the drinks were from Fengjia market. We got them the night before and keep them in the fridge and brought it along with us when we leave Taichung. We especially love 柳橙綠 drink which is simply refreshing! Just recently Mr Cheong mentioned to me that he missed it and sad that no one can tabao it back to Sg for us :(

By the time we reached out hotel at ximending area, it was about 3+ pm already..and I took a photo of the MRT map before I download the app on iphone which is kinda useful

From the gps I found that we need to exit from exit 6 to walk to our hotel

The moment we exit XIMENDING mrt station Exit 6

It was a Monday afternoon yet ximending was already quite populated.

We would be staying in ECFA hotel.

After checking in, we decide to loiter around ximending area since I did not have Any plans for the day lol as I did not know what time we would be back in Taipei. To speak the truth, I was just too lazy to plan the night b4. I thought that it was easy to plan just randomly where we wanted to go in Taipei so in the end nothing was planned for Taipei.

Decided to take some photos in the middle of ximending so that those who are reading this post can follow our footsteps btw, #footstepsofznj is the hashtag used on my instagram for my life together with Mr Cheong

We chanced upon 香香鸡 in 西門町. It is one of Mr Cheong's favourite in Taipei so definitely we would not want to miss it. This is the brand which Mr Cheong especially like.

So of course I need to make him take a photo with the mascot!

And we also chanced upon 豪大大雞扒 store. Not sure how long it has been open but don't remember seeing it the previous 2x we were here.

A rather huge store selling drinks as well. We didn't buy anything from it though.

Feeling hungry again, Mr Cheong decided to patronized 阿忠麵線. As usual there was a crowd but not that bad as they were quite fast in serving

And it was extremely yummy! Though it was not the first time we have eaten 阿忠麵線 but we still love it lotsa!

We went around shopping around the vicinity

Mr Cheong got himself a pair of shades. After that we went back to this shopping mall shibuya. Shibuya was connected to another mall. But the 2 malls combined is still quite small. Mr Cheong has bought nothing in Taichung, I have been the one doing all the shopping as Mr Cheong is really picky.

Well, he managed to get 2 shirts from the mall beside shibuya. He did his shopping here the previous time too..zzzz

nearby the mall, was a small stall selling mua chee. Had craving for that so I decided to get a small pack

Erm... didnt like the muay chee. Too little peanuts :( even though there was peanut fillings inside each ball

Next it was time for Ningxia Night market 寧夏夜市. Mr Cheong favourite night market in Taipei.

Location: Ningxia Rd., Datong District (between Nanjing W. Rd. and Minsheng W. Rd.)

Opening Hours: 1800-2400

MRT: Alight at either MRT Shuanglian Station or MRT Zhongshan Station of Tamsui Line, amd walk towards west (Chengde Rd.) from Exit No.1 for approximately 10 minutes.

However to our disappointment many stalls were not open :(

We decided to buy 車輪餅. 1 red bean and 1 yam flavour.

After getting that, we proceeded to 洪記和風料理. We were here the previous time too. We came here for their lok lok which was really nice. It feels good to be having the warm tasty soup in e cooling weather.

Next we proceeded to the oyster shop at the end of ningxia night market.

We have been patronizing this shop for consecutive 3 yrs! And as usual there was a queue. This store has a rule that you have to get your order before they lead you to your seat. This is to prevent seats hogging. Good n bad to the consumers .

After that we went back to ningxia night market where we saw this 邱記10元碳烤. The sales person keep calling out to say everything is nt10. But don't be cheated. Some of the items there were not Nt10. We were shocked when he told us the total price. Not the the price was very high but we had expected everything to be Nt10.
