Paradise Inn @ Greenwich V
Mr Cheong chose to go to Paradise Inn at Greenwich V which is nearby my parent's house. Mr Cheong has something for Chinese food so we actually visit Paradise Inn at Greenwich V quite often. It was also the place where we had our parents meeting before our wedding.
The design of the menu is quite oriental yet not too oriental and I felt that it is actually quite classy looking
Mr Cheong ordered the Ribs Pumpkin Oyster Soup. However, I dont remember seeing any oyster in the soup. The pumpkin was cooked till it was so soft that it would melts in your mouth. The ribs too! The meat and the bones could be separated without any effort...
The soup was thick and concentrated.

Without checking Mr Cheong's order, he overordered again.
The soup was served in a large pot which can served at least 4 pax. We didnt manage to finish the soup. Had about half left which we asked the staff to pack for us. Paradise Inn is actually known for their soup so if you ever patronise them, remember to order and try.
The soup was thick and concentrated.
I thought that the Vermicelli Pork Trotter was ok though- not too oily, not too saltish nor tasteless.
Mr Cheong also ordered the Imperial Pork Ribs which I kinda like. The marination was good. The taste managed to infiltrate the skin and reached the meat itself. So, every bite is good.
The 'Thai Fry Toufu' aka toufu with the dipping chilli sauce was supposed to the appetiser but it was the last to be served. I didnt quite like it. Though I would say the chef has done it quite well, The outer skin of the toufu was cooked to golden brown was crispy and the inside was soft. But unluckily unlike Mr Cheong, I do not know how to appreciate toufu. I actually find them quite tasteless even with the chilli sauce.
We paid a total of S$60+ after a redemption of the points. Worth it or not is rather subjective, I would say thats the average price of a chinese restaurant.....we would definitely come back again cause it is near my parents' house and because Mr Cheong likes Chinese food!
