Poulèt raffles city

Went all the way to raffles city, Mr Cheong had wanted to go to raffles city as he thought that there were many dessert choices for me there. However, after walking around for sometime, we decided to check in to Poulèt.
Poulèt means chicken in French. It is the first French casual dining restaurant chain concept in Singapore
It is not the first time that we have eaten at a poulet restaurant but the very first time we ate at Poulèt raffles city. There was a crowd there but luckily they have a table for the 2 of us. The 3pax group before us gotta wait.
Poulèt is a partisan theme restaurant.so besides the food, the decor of the restaurant was also partisan themed.

After a very long wait approximately 30min after we have placed our order, non of what we have ordered were served. Not even the soup. Both Mr Cheong and I were famished. Mr Cheong seek the attention of one of the staff whom I thought was the floor manager on duty ( a Malay guy who is tall and slim with slightly curly hair) it seemed like the waitress who has taken our order did not send up our order and in fact had thrown our order chip away. We saw the guy searching high n low and even digging inTo the waste paper basket got our order chip ....This explains the long wait.
Though there was a hiccup but we were happy with the way the staff tried to salvage the whole incident

We had only order 1 mushroom soup to share but they gave us a complimentary onion soup as well. The soups were served within minutes

Between the onion soup and the mushroom soup I still prefer the latter. The mushroom soup is one of the best which I have tried so far.

Besides the complimentary onion soup, the staff also came with 2 complimentary glass ice lemon tea. We didn't order any drink as we had plans to go to other places for drinks and dessert.

The whole chicken which we had ordered is something which is very popular among many ...
The unique thing about this dish is the home made Mushroom Chardonnay Sauce which is at the bottom of the chicken. I would give a 6/10 rating to the chicken as the breast section of the meat is still rather dry. The chicken itself is just very normal tasting if it it without the sauce. Dip the meat into the sauce and immediately it will enhance the taste of the meat.

The last to come is the sausages. Mr Cheong had wanted to order some other appetitiser but oos. Only left the sausages an escargots which I don't dare to eat.
The sausages were again average in taste (5/10) It comes with mustard and apple sauce. I think the apple sauce is nice but they could have been more generous in their serving.

At the end of our dinner, we were totally satisfied with the service rendered by the staff even though it started with a bad note. They gave us a good discount. Eventually we only paid for the chicken and nothing else. Our bill came to a total of $30+ Only.
It would be good if other restaurants can learn from Poulèt. The staff were able to overturn the otherwise bad experience of their customers as they seem to have the  power for simple decision making like this ... Will definitely patronize Poulèt at Raffles city cause of their good customer service again. Well done Poulèt !
