Vineyard at Hortpark (review)

Would love to thanks @grouponsg and @vineyard for a lunch date with Mr Cheong ;)

Vineyard is located at Hort Park which is just beSide Alexandra Technopark where Mr Cheong's office is at.

The inviting and cozy ambience of Vineyard makes it a suitable place for couples on a date, families and friends to gather for a get together

With the vouchers Mr Cheong and I are entitled to a 2 course set lunch each

We can choose how we want the 2 courses to be like and both of us prefer to have the main course with dessert since I'm almost a carnivore. Seriously the set lunches are quite affordable too.

Initially Mr Cheong wanted to order the traditional homemade Seafood Lasagna but it was oos so he switched to Pasta Aragosta instead.
For me, I ordered the breaded veal Escalope

We were served some warm toasted bread with walnut

After which our mains were served
Mr Cheong's  Pasta Aragosta:

Mr Cheong commented that there is nothing besides crayfish and spaghetti. But the plus point is that shell has been removed for easy eating. Taste on the other side is average

My Breaded Veal Escalope.

Veal is supposed to be the meat of young cattles but no matter how I look or taste it doesn't taste like a cattle. A little like pork though. Presentation wise, it looks pretty. Taste wise, I would prefer the fork-mashed potatoes and glazed vegetables. The breaded veal itself makes me bored easily though the sauce is quite unique in taste

After we are done with the mains, both mr Cheong and I were already quite full.

Mr Cheong ordered "cake of the day" which we were told was blue berry cheese cake.
But the server came with 3 slices of tiramisu and told us that blueberry cheese cake was oos so it should be tiramisu instead.

We were ok with the tiramisu but 3 slices???? How are we going to finish them ?

The Tiramisu is tantalising. The sponge almost melts in the mouth immediately. They are very good!!!!! But it is a little to creamy for the health conscious. But well, tiramisu is always creamy isnt it?

Next, my hazelnut crunch bar which was recommended by Mr Cheong who had tried it before. Indeed, it is very chocolaty and nice too. Love it!

While we were trying very hard to finish up the dessert on the table, the server came to us with the 'real' cake of the day- the Cheese cake! The server came and apologised to us saying that the Tiramisu was served wrongly, and here is the blue berry cheese cake. We told her it is and told her to keep it, but she said that it has been prepared and told us to just have it. At that point both Mr Cheong and I were already very full.
We decided to try the blue berry cheese cake though... The vanilla ice cream is not as creamy as it should have been, I would say, a little diluted and both of us didnt really fancy the taste of the blue berry cheese cake. It isnt cheesy and is a little hard for our liking.

Overall, we have enjoyed our lunch and will definitely revisit for our lunch date again :) Can't wait to try the other yummilious food!
