Hospital Tour Part 1 - Mount Elizabeth Novena

Went for my hospital tour- Mount Elizabeth Novena on 21 Nov 2015
We have no problem with the parking lots available. There were ample even though it was a saturday.

First impression of Mt Elizabeth Novena is like a hotel! The Reception area is big and spacious and most importantly not noisy.

There were ample seats available at the spacious lobby too.

We were brought to the delivery suite. The walkway was spacious and quiet. I would say it is good for someone who needed some quiet space to recuperate. but not so good for people who is scare of silence.

The waiting area for family members just outside the delivery suite. No worries about over crowding! (only 1 person is allowed in the delivery suite)

Again the delivery suite was spacious, There is no worry that the delivery suite would be too crowded whereby your hubby will have no space to witness the moment. Btw, no photography and videography during the delivery process. Only before and after :)
In the event of emergency C-sect, the operating theatre is just opposite the delivery suite.

As you know, the hospital is pretty large and spacious, so it was quite a distance from the delivery suite (level 3) to the maternity ward (level 9) and in the event that the maternity ward is full, level 10 is reserved for mummies too.

The passageway is clear of machines/janitor's tools/rubbish bin. The whole place is clean, wide, spacious and comfortable looking, It seems as though we are in a hotel for staycation.

The rooms at Mount Elizabeth Novena are all single bedded which is very attractive. I have heard of friends from other hospital who got downgraded to 2bedded because there werent enough 1 bedded in their hospital.

Moreover, all the single bedded rooms in Mt E novena are all of the same size (28 m2), same structure and same design unless you get their suites

All rooms are sound proof, so no worries about having noisy neighbours/visitors.

There is a mini bar which is complimentary during your stay and of course free WIFI

Im most particular about the toilet and the toilet here passed :) New, clean, spacious- what else can I ask for?  If ever there is a bathtub added, I would have thought Im really here on a staycation instead of a hospital stay.

The toiletries included here are from Crabtree and Evelyn.

Along the way to the ward, you will by pass many sitting/waiting area whereby your family members can sit down while waiting for you. There is no need for them to crowd themselves in the room in the event that you have too many visitors, which I seriously doubt that will happen since the room is already so spacious as what you have seen.

We were told that the maternity wards at level 9 were all taken as they were experiencing full house that day. All 30 rooms taken up!
Our next stop, the nursery, the babies seem to be enjoying their stay here too. There were left than 15 babies in the nursery, I supposed many of them are in the room with their mummies :)
You can request for having baby 24/7 in room if you want.

Note that the hospital has excluded companion fee in their package unlike previous years. And the cost is around s$90 which include 3 meals for companion

Junior suites are located at the Penthouse level which is also the highest level (#13) and it is very very spacious (58 m2 – 88 m2) - with en-suite toilet, balcony and a living room

The Junior suite comes with an al Fresco area and unlimited minibar

At the end of the tour, we were brought to the cordlife office for QnA session and some snacks.

I have attached the price list for 2016

* Parking is complimentary

For virtual tour, you can proceed to Mt Elizabeth Hospital website here

Will be doing a comparison for the 3 hospitals which I have gone for the maternity tour soon. Do check this space often :)
