“2nd time @ Avillion Admiral Cove 6-8april 2012”

got a deal for 2 hotels - 1 2D1N zon regency and 2. 3D2N Avillion Admiral Cove.
felt that it was a great deal.
SERVICE:Wanted to upgrade the room to the straits studio room but the agency which I had brought it from was unable to do. So i emailed Avillion Admiral Cove few months prior to my visit. however, no reply from them at all. Initially we booked 2 rooms, 1 for my fiancé and I and another 1 for my friend and his wife.
However, they were not able to make it, so ended up we have 1 extra room. When we reached there, it was about 12noon. We asked the reception if it is ok for us to exchange 2 deluxe room for a straits studio room And they claimed that it was impossible for us to do that. Next, we asked them if we were able to upgrade one of the room to a straits studio and guess what? They wanted us to call up the agency from which we bought the deal from to check how much we have paid for the hotel then.. top it up with the balance... NONSENSE!!!!! The previous time, my friend was offered a upgrade at RM80 even though we got it from a similar deal.
DIdnt want to spoil our holiday... so we just forget about it.. We decided to check into 2 rooms instead.. HAHA. But the rooms were not ready yet and the receptionist claimed that they will call us when the rooms were ready. We went for a swim till about 3pm and went back to the reception again. They remembered us and we were able to get our 2 rooms then. We were not sure if they called us.. We didnt check. Upon checking in, we found that our room was not properly cleaned. there were a opened mineral bottle which was half full, probably left behind by the previous 'stayer' and the housekeepers had not replenished mineral water for us. . besides that, the TV is not working and we had to call the reception for assistance.

We did not need to wait long for them. 2nd day- the housekeeping team did NOT do a good job again. Yes they tidied up our room, replaced our towels... but they left behind the towels which we took from the swimming pool area.Overall, felt that the service standard for Avillion Admiral Cove to have dropped drastically since my last visit in Aug last year.

The deluxe room which we got has no sea view but it looks almost exactly like the studio straits room.We checked out at 12noon but my fiancé only realised that he had left his newly bought running shoes at the hotel room at about 5pm. He called the hotel and the person said that he would call back later and HE DID after about 45 min...He found it.. and we told him that we will be collecting it on 27May (we will be gg there after our trip to kl)
