FX Hotel Makkasan aka FX Furama Hotel (Review)

This is their small yet trendy lobby

Do not have high expectation or you will be utterly disappointed. stayed here for 3 nights. From 28 Oct to 30 Oct. Stayed on the 4th floor. They do have free wifi in room but their wifi doesnt seems to be very stable and you get logged out very often. If u lose your ID and password which was provided to you upon check in, you will be subjected to only free 15 min usage per day at the lobby and after which you need to pay. The ID and password were provided on a very small piece of paper so the receptionist caution us not to lose it. However, my sisters were complaining about the lousy connection of their in-room wifi. I had bought a prepaid data card. thus, I do not need to use their Wifi :) Room is rather new and clean but the walls are not sound proof. I could communicate with my sisters who were staying next door without raising our voices. If we 'speak to' the socket point. HAHAA.

It was kinda fun for us. The negative about this hotel is that many taxi drivers do not know their way to the hotel and we have to mention the school which is near by to give them an idea where the hotel were and there is nothing much around the vicinity to see. It can be quite dark and dangerous at night.

Breakfast was served at the dim sum restaurant downstairs. No buffet though. only 4 breakfast sets to choose from. there is also a 7-11 just beside the dim sum restaurant. When we requested for late check out. they were only willing to give us a 30 min grace from 12nn to 1230pm
