Taipei hotel review: ECFA (chengdu)
Checked with ivy for 公主房-taken. Checked city inn 1/2/3 n xmd. All taken. Checked piggy Minsu- fully booked. Sianz!!!
There is a 32" LCD tv which offers many channels.
I especially like the idea of their bath tub and is thinking of building something like that for our new nest. Felt that it is Beth creative. The floor of the bath tub is the same as what u can see at for the rest of the bathroom
Finally found ECFA and glad that they have got a room for us from 3 march 2014 to 7 march 2014
There are like 3 ECFA around ximending but chengdu location is the furthest. We chose chengdu because it is cheaper than the other 2 and the distance weren't too fat away from the other 2.
To reach ECFA chengdu, alight at ximending stop and exit the station via exit 6. After which just walk straight, it was actually quite easy to reach.
In order to check in, u need to go to ECFA ( ximending) which is just a few houses away. It will also be where you will be having your breakfast.
At EFCA (ximending) where the reception counter is located. The wifi password of the lobby and that in the room is different so u need to make some changes here
The room was quite big and spacious. It was neat and clean
There is also a raised platform near to the window where we put our luggage. No idea what's with the raised platform but it doesn't inconvenienced us, so it is ok
On the other side of the room , there is a bar table but it only has 1 high chair and is facing the wall. Felt it was abit lame in the design. At the very least, I think they should put 2 high chairs for the bar table. Who will sit there alone to face the wall??? Toiletries were also left on the bar table which I felt should be in the toilet itself?
Everything was good till on closer look, I noticed a tear/crack on the wall between the tv an the toilet
this make me think that the rooms are quite badly maintained as i think I've read somewhere that it was newly renovated. The design I think is quite modern. Recently there have been a number of hotels using this design - translucent door for their toilet. I would think it wouldn't be so suitable if u are staying with a platonic friend of the opposite gender though. ( not too sure if the design for the twin room is the same as the double room )
The toilet is very spacious. I would say it is just a little smaller than the common room of a new bto flat in Sg.
Overall, we thought that we have got quite a good deal, reasonably priced, at quite a good location and most importantly, it is spacious and clean. We only paos about s$80/night for this room. Nothing much to complain ...
