20 April Ma Maison

Initially Mr Cheong wanted to go for buffet dinner at intercontinental hotel. However, no one picked up the phone when he tried calling. We decided that we would just check out the place. If there wasn't any seats, then we would just find another place for dinner. And indeed, it was fully booked. aFter walking around for sometime, we decided to eat at Ma Maison. 

The last time we were here was few years back when we came here to celebrate the birthday of the August babies. 

The main menu of Ma Maison is like an vintage old book. Besides the main menu, they also have few other menu for some special dishes. 

This was going to be one of the sets which we would be ordering : Kani Cream croquette

So while Mr Cheong was still deciding, selfie for myself

Once we have placed our order with a Japanese waiter, we had couple selfie :) 

Mr Cheong mimicked the pose of smoking as there was a no smoking sign behind us.

While still waiting for our dinner, I took a few photos of the surrounding 

Great ambience isn't it? Very suitable for couples I would say.

Finally, the soup was served. The taste is average.

 Kani Cream croquette:

It was served with rice and I especially love the Japanese white rice. It was especially tasty we felt. 

We were almost done with the  Kani Cream croquette when the sea food paella was served. The portion was very big for 1 PAx but a little small for 2. Unless it i for 2 ladies. The dish may look big but it is actually swallow. 

The paella taste not bad. It is quite generous with the seafood. 

After finishing the whole dish I didn't felt really full. About 70% full only. 

The waiter gave us a key like thingy when we asked for the bill and we thought that was kinda unique 

After Ma Maison, we walked around bugis junction trying to find a place for dessert. I decided on baskin robins but Mr Cheong just got a cup of grapefruit tea from the shop opposite. I ordered pink champagne and 1 chocolate flavoured ice cream.

I like the chocolate ice cream though. It is thick n rich :)

Time to go back now that the shops are closing
