Budget Bride (Singapore) FB Group Chalet ( 24 May 2014)

Started up the Facebook group as many of the brides to be are having a difficult time in another FB group for brides to be due to a zzzz admin - someone who goes against her own words and is petty over small little things etc etc.. just someone who love to use her power over other members.
Thats the origins of the group, setting it up with another btb friend who hopes that this will be a group for all future btb to share everything under the sun.. from the things to look out for when doing any booking with hotels, bridal studios, pg, vg etc to sharing of any good deals which we came upon for nails, hair, facials etc.
We have decided to organise a chalet for the group as we want to be more than just friends in front of the screen. I had met several of them prior to this chalet for some collection of stuff etc (esp the committee members) and 24 May would be the day in which I would be meeting more of them

We have booked Aloha Loyang chalet with the help of one of the member. We booked the sea view terrace which was really big. 

The chalet was rather old and run down but it was able to serve its purpose. There is no air con in the living area and we almost die of heat there

Yes all these rooms were ours. 

While the DIY class was talking place, the rest of the committee were busy with checking of facilities, packing the goodie bag which we had prepared for everyone. We could have gotten more if I had been less lazy. There are many sponsors which I had in mind... but has been too busy to contact them. But well, I think the goodie bag was quite good already right?

While the ladies were busy with their DIY, Janise on the other hand was busy with the setting up of her candy bar. Yes! Janise is the owner of Cherryjan Candy bar services

I especially love the cupcakes.. So sweet of her to have them specially customised for us :)

After the sweets, we continued with a TB session held by Jolyn.. HAHA she looks so pro here with her projector and guess what? she even prepared handouts for the ladies!

We had decided on catering our dinner instead of having BBQ as most of us find BBQ is too much of a hassle.. Instead of spending time on setting up, we could use the time for more bonding and getting to know each other

We catered our food from Meihao99. A few of the graduated brides have catered their buffets either during their GDL or AD. so we decided to try their food... Many have raved about their curry so of cause curry was one of the dish chosen.

But it seemed like their curry was too oily and with many weight conscious bride to be around, we have to remove the oil before tucking in

The food were not bad. The curry after the oil was removed, was a hit with the ladies.

We spent the night chatting and playing with the many boardgames brought along by one of our member. It was indeed a great evening spent with the girls!
