CHOCK FULL OF BEANS ( Vesak Day- 13 May)
After Mr Cheong settled his meeting with the Mr regarding the takeover of the stall, we went to Changi Village. Mr Cheong was thinking of going to the coastal settlement but I felt that going to Chock full of Beans. Was kinda regretting my decision as the moment we reached there, we had problems finding a parking lot. There were so many vehicles, car parks were full and still so many vehicles waiting for a lot. I think we were rather lucky as we managed to find a lot very soon! :) However, after the parking, when we went over to Chock Full of Beans, it was full and to make matter worse, there was a super long queue in front of us. supposedly 18 tables. Something which I feel that they have done well is, they have a system whereby you can register and leave your contact no. behind. Once it is your turn, there will be a automatic system which will call you to inform you that your table is ready and you will then need to confirm your reservations and go back to the outlet within 5 minutes.
Some time later, I checked my Q via my hp and there were still another 14 more tables to go. zzzz.... There were many people waiting for a table. It seems like there were many who came all the way here to patronise them
Finally about 45min later, we received a call from the automatic system that our table is ready.
By that time, we were no longer hungry and were in fact quite full about our Paus at Johor Bahru Pau/TIm Sum. Had initially wanted to ordered the main course from Chock but.. now.. just some coffee and cake
I ordered the Ice Baileys latte as I saw it on rheir facebook that it would come with a 3D art. However, when the drinks was served, I was kinda disappointed. No 3D art, just a normal design of a Badz badz maru though it was still quite cute.
Mr Cheong ordered Ice mocha which came with a Winnie the pooh
I had wanted to order their strawberry shortcake which was oos :( so I got a chocolate cake instead. Because Mr Cheong has just recovered from his cough, he could not take chocolate. (Actually, he could not take chocolate at all. The moment he takes chocolate, he will fall sick again. )
In the end, I had the whole slice of cake for myself.
Would I come back again? Maybe not, unless Im nearby and provided there isnt a queue. Do not think that their food is worth the wait. I may come back too just to bring my sisters here to see see.. :)
