Taiwan trip 2014 Day 10 (last day)

7 March 2014 was going to be the last day in Taipei, we would be going back to Singapore that very night.
We woke up rather late. Just nice enough for us to check out.

Upon checking out, we left our luggages at the hotel lobby and went out eating and eating again.
Since, we stayed in Ximending area, we went to 阿忠麵線 again

After sharing a small bowl of 阿忠麵線 we went to get one of Mr Cheong's favourite. Can you guess what is it? It is 香香鸡!

Afterwhich, we continued browsing Ximending area. We came across many shops renting/ selling costumes and this particular set attracted us. We are very into this kind of renaissance look, thus explain the design of our wedding gown and suit. ( You can check out my wedding blog here if you have not read about it)

After walking around Ximending for the last time, we proceeded to our next destination.
We took the MRT to Zhongxiao Dun hua.
While finding our way to the Barbie cafe, we chanced upon San Want Hotel and their mascot is the cute wangwang boy.

San Want Hotel

No.172, Sec. 4, ZhongXiao East Road, Taipei, Taiwan.

Barbie restaurant

The very first Barbie restaurant opened in Taiwan on 30 Jan 2013. It is licensed by toy giant Mattel. The restaurant will feature hot pink sofas, tables shaped like high-heeled shoes and chairs decked out with tutus. Staff will wear pink Barbie logo T-shirts, matching tutus, Barbie armbands, glitter and tiaras.

The video shows the opening of the restaurant.

We reached the building where the address lead us too. As we were coming from the other side which passed by the security office first, we didnt see the pinkish doorway. Thinking that it was kinda weird and that we may have lost our way. Mr Cheong decided to check it out with the security guard on duty who directed us to the entrance.

The main entrance was well architected with different patterns of Barbie characters.

upon settling down, we were served the pinkish menu

A selfie with the pink menu before I take a look inside

I even made Mr Cheong posed with the menu. Haha

As if Barbie didn’t already get harped on enough for promoting unrealistic expectations about body image, this restaurant pushes the limits even farther. The menu was designed by a nutritionist, and lists the calories for each Barbie-themed food choice available.

The last time i did a check on my metabolism rate. it was at 1076! which is superly under the 1800, so even if i eat 1800 kcals , i also wont be able to get that Barbie figure :( think i shouldnt be eating at all.

After placing our order, we went around the restaurant to take some photos with the pink surrounding

And the beautiful and spacious washroom

Just outside the washroom is a place for photo. Looks like a window show case

After a short tour around the cafe, our sweets were served

Cant really remember what the below is called. This was ordered by Mr Cheong who didnt really like the taste of it as it is too milky for him

Strawberry moose cake
was not bad. I exchanged it with Mr cheong subsequently

And because of the minimum order of NT300/pax, we decided to get drinks too
