49 seats

Have been into those "liked and shared" promotions on Facebook and I'm glad to share one of my winnings !

49 seats held a promotion from 

Winners would be able to able to enjoy 2 mains from 49seats' menu and a pair of tickets to Ouija movie on 1 nov... 

I felt blessed and honoured to be one of the winners and of coz I brought Mr Cheong along ;) I'll take it that it is an advance celebration for him ( his bday -5 nov) 

We made a reservation for 630pm but we were early and reached at 6pm. Luckily the staff were prepared to receive us 

We were led to a table indoors which have been reserved for us 

The cafe is tastefully decorated

I know that the pic of the menu is unclear but please bear with it since I'm still using my iPhone4. ( I'll be glad of someone is willing to sponsor me with a phone with a better camera or a good camera :p) 

We placed our order at the counter 

With the winnings, we paid only 17.90 nett ( because there is no service charge nor GST at 49seats. Shiok! ) 

My coke float with Mr Cheong's Stella Artois were soon served. ;) 

And while waiting for our food to be served #letustakeawefie 

Within minutes, our food were served ;) thumbs up to the chef's efficiency ! We did not need to wait for long to satisfy our  growling stomach ! 

Let's zoom in to the mains which we have ordered 

Mr Cheong's order: 

Old fashion fish&chips with tom yam sauce

Our verdict: 

Portion: just nice for ladies but it maybe a little small for the men

Appearance: attractive and colourful 

Taste: old school fish&chip taste with a tint of excitement due to the Tom Yam sauce.it is well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft inside...the layer of crisp wasn't too thick ....  It's kinda an interesting dish... 

Next : cheesy chicken chop

I'm allowed to choose the sides and u chose fries and mashed potatoes 

Our verdict : 

Portion : just nice for the ladies, but may not be so for the gentlemen 

Appearance: average 

Taste: do not judge the food by its looks ! Though it doesn't look really appealing but the cheesy chicken chop taste good!! Both mr Cheong and I love it ! The chicken chop was cooked in such a way that it wasn't too dry. The meat was succulent and tantalizing which the outer layer was cheesy yet a little crispy
