Our block is not only the last block to be ready, but we were like the later half to collect our keys for our block too.
We received our appointment date/time and some other documents from HDB via the snail mail when we came back to Singapore on the 5th.

12 May 2015      - Key Collection Day!

I was early since I went over after my gym session. Mr Cheong said that he will depart from office by 12nn so I was expecting him to reach at around 1230, but he was late. After waiting for a while, I thought I will just check out where and how the process will be about, so I randomly just key in my NRIC number into the Q machine which has many options.. The machine is smart enough to know what I was there for and immediately dispensed the Q-number for me. I was kinda worried that Mr Cheong would not arrived when my Q number was call since all the documents were with him. Side note, I kind of like this Q-number since it looks a little like our unit number.

However, Mr Cheong managed to reach before our number were called. We went into this office where an officer attended to us.

We were made to sign many documents which include the payment of the balance of downpayments, agreement that we will not change the colour of our balcony (if we were to repaint, the colour quote has to be followed) , etc etc

Next, the officer sent us to the various places to buy our fire insurance, open an account for our utilities and  make payment for the conservancy fees and they are all at level 3.
The moment we went up to level 3, we came across the cashier at which we paid the conservancy fees, next we got our Q-number at the fire insurance counter. (though, there was like only 3 persons in front of us, we decided to go a little further to open our utilities account since there seem to be only 1 counter which was serving )

We spent some time at the SP outlet to open our utilities where the staff asked if we were also interested in install citygas for our home. We chose not to since we were not be using any city gas in our new place at all.

We thought we would have missed our Q-number for the fire insurance counter but to our surprise, it was not even our turn. We waited for a few more minutes.

After speaking to a few of our friends, we decided that we will get the basic fire insurance first and later convert to the enhanced one. I have also heard that, you can arrange on the spot to start the Enhanced insurance from Etiqa to start after your renovation.

We did not choose that option reasons being :
1) we have not checked out the fire insurance from other vendors
2) It is easy if we decided to switch to the Enhanced package from Etiqa, you just need 1 of the owner to come over to the counter here to apply.
3) We do not know when our renovation will be completed so it is difficult for us to arrange when we want to start the enhanced insurance

After all the activities at level 3, we went back to level 1-our officer's office. This time we do not need to queue. Now we have more documents to sign, while the officer verified our payments.
Finally, after more than 1hr at the HDB, we got our keys!!!!!!!!!!!

Time to have our lunch before we proceed to our new house!!!! YAY!!!!
