Travelling during the 1st trimester- Road trip to Ipoh and Cameron (Part 1)

We had planned many months before the coming of the jubilee long weekend to have a short travel. This time to Ipoh and Cameron highlands. We did not expect that I will be pregnant at this time... So nearing the date, I have no choice but to inform my 2 friends that we will have to do without hotspring for this very trip.
Mr Cheong was kinda worried that I may not be able to handle the long bus journey to Ipoh but I made it n I think my little baby has enjoyed feasting on all the yummilicious food, so much that I put on weight after that .

We took the 9+ pm bus departing from Golden Mile and was expecting to reach Ipoh the next day at around 5+ am

After reaching Ipoh, Eva's dad came to give us a ride to his place before we took off with another car and drove to Jeff's house in Ipoh.
Upon reachingm, we decided to take a short nap before we go out for breakfast again.

Eva brought us to  101 板面专卖店 for our breakfast

After our breakfast we started our journey up Cameron highland

After slightly more than an hour, we were welcomed by the cooling weather. We stopped at the first strawberry farm Rich Flora Strawberry Centre for a break.

Mr Cheong and I decided that we shall have our "pluck the strawberries" experience here

Besides, straWberries, you can also get others organic fruits and vegetables from the farms here

The strawberries were really fresh and sweet... yumzzz......
well..... not only the strawberries were yummy but Mr Cheong also found his favourite ice pop on Cameron highlands!

After the break, we were on our way again... and soon we stopped at the next farm. There are many strawberries farms around and they are all similar in a way....

This time round, the men decided to try the passion fruit ice pop :) Mr Cheong still prefers the strawberry ice pop though.
Besides strawberry farms, another attraction of Cameron highland includes Tea gardens!

We stopped by Cameron Valley Tea House for some food and relaxation since Jeff was hungry already.

The indulgence in the serenity of the tea farm was wondrous except that the cakes werent so delicious. You can rent a jeep for a tour around the tea farm which we didnt.

Still on the search for food :) We checked out a few of the raved restaurant, but they werent open. most of the steamboats restaurants are only open from the evening onwards.
We decided to be less choosy and popped into any decent one which appears and checked into Highland Charcoal Steamboat Restaurant.

The spread isnt that alot but the pricing is rather reasonable and we enjoyed our late lunch, especially eating the hot steamboat in the cooling weather.

Until today, Mr Cheong has been thinking about going up to Cameron Highland just for steamboat!
After the steamboat, we decided to go to the apartment which we have rented for a rest before our adventure again.
By the time, we woke up from our nap, it was raining, we braved the rain, went back to the town area for the Pasar Malam for our food... (no pics here as the rain was simply too heavy)
