Le cuisine (29 May 2014 - Part 1)

I had a date with my 2 sisters at Chinatown point. Decided on Le Cuisine as I was attracted by their store deco.
I was early so I decided to take a few pics

there was literally no one around except me.

I decided to try my fish eye lens which I have just bought for my iphone 4

The lens are good :)

All these while, when I was taking photos, I did not notice that it is opened by celebrity chef, Daniel Goh. It was Yu who told me about it when he saw Daniel Koh coming out of the kitchen. Actually to speak the truth, I do not know who is Daniel Koh lol...a bit sua ku maybe

Menu :

I would like to try their 3 tier high tea set one day!
We didnt realise that our order come with soup until they were serve
We were served the soup of the day - tomato soup
Even though we dont usually fancy tomato soup but we felt it was ok and we finished it

It was just a small ladle scoop actually
I ordered a lychee fruit Coulis after the waitress told me that it is ice blended lychee juice...
However, when it was served, instead of ice blended.. it is just lychee juice with ice cubes...zzzz

 lychee fruit Coulis

I ordered Cioppino which is Penne in seafood stewed in roasted tomato sauce

Penne in seafood stewed in roasted tomato

When it was served, we were like... erm.. thinking why is the sauce soupy instead? The sauce was very liquid and worse of all, it was spicy. But ya we should have noticed that they put 'stew' and should have been mentally prepared that it was going to be soupy....We are no spicy food taker. The menu mentioned that it was tomato based and we had not expected it to be spicy at all

Yu ordered the Linguini with chicken ragout but instead of Linguini, she requested for a change to penne

Pasta cooked in Bolognese style and topped with grated Parmesan

Again from the photos, you can see that the sauce was again soupy like mee siam's soup? Very liquid and flowly and again, it was spicy!!!
We were thinking why everything were spicy....zzz.
WE were expecting it to be like the most common kind of Bolognese style which we know of.....but it turned out to be totally different....
This was the most that is the worst among the 3 which we have ordered. It is the least value for money.

Pei ordered spaghetti with stewed chicken and like Yu, she requested for a change to Penne

Pasta with stewed chicken in DK7 spices and roasted tomato sauce

This turned out to be the most value for money and taste the best among the 3 which we have ordered. It was a little spicy but the mild, I guess it was due to the spices used for this dish. Sauce wise it wasnt really sauce but again more to the watery kind.

I would suggest non spicy food eater not to order the above 3 pasta. Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience. Not only did the food take a rather long time to be served, I thought that the food were below my expectation after hearing that Le Cuisine was opened by a celebrity chef
